Every house we build is unique, designed for you and your lifestyle. We will work with you to build a home that is aesthetically pleasing and functional for your lifestyle. All our timber frames meet structural requirements necessary to satisfy building regulations.
The following examples will provide you with inspiration for your own build. Explore the country home, barn home, village home and contemporary home to get a sense of what is achievable. Immerse yourself in a breadth of information, including design sketches, floor plans, case studies and photography galleries of exterior and interior views of previously built oak frame homes.
A barn style home combines contemporary design with local vernacular trends. Externally you will find infill panel insulation, cladding and expansive face glazing, rather than exposed oak beams. The interiors are characterised by large open spaces echoing the spacious feel of a traditional oak frame barn.
A contemporary home is synonymous with open plan living. Double height spaces, mezzanine decks, galleries and vaulted ceilings offer views through the entire house. You will typically find interior oak stripped back and the external façade clad in modern materials, such as render, cedar boarding, zinc/aluminium profile sheeting and glass.
Paying homage to the quintessential English style, a country home will incorporate large square panelling, close vertical studding and rococo design. However, these aspects can be blended with modern design and are not always considered when coupled with vernacular trends.
A village style home is typically designed to suit its surroundings. For example, you will find the external look of an oak frame home in Herefordshire very different to a Cotswolds stone-clad home. In any case, the interior layout will reflect your individual requirements.
