One oak house style, six oak frame design templates

The Cottage range

Our Cottage range comprises six modest-size, oak frame homes with features beautifully designed to sit comfortably within a country setting.

Each design has a compact central bay with a stairwell that separates the kitchen/diner on one side, and the sitting room on the other. All the cottages in the range have a similar core form with a minimum of three bedrooms, and vary in size from 144m² to 256m². They have been designed with a potential to include the additional benefit of a garden room should you wish.

Internally, different aesthetics can be created, giving you the choice of anything from a contemporary to a traditional design. Depending on your preference, all six cottages can be simplified to a base aisle-framed oak structure, with less oak visible internally, or can be upscaled to a full post and beam style frame that will give a fuller oak structure. You also have the opportunity to surround your oak frame with one of our encapsulation systems, which allow for extremely high levels of energy efficiency, insulation and airtightness.

Our Cottage range combines a mixture of vernacular features, traditional form and sympathetic materials to blend in with the surrounding context. Overall this range has been designed to a modest scale, where space is maximised internally with dormers and vaulted ceilings. Based on you and the planning requirements of your site, each design may be adapted to suit your particular context.
